Enrolment, fees and administration 2025
The way the Qld Government has invested in Kindergarten has changed. Kindergarten, known as kindy, is a part-time educational program for children in the year before Prep. Kindy is 15 hours per week, 600 hours per year and is free for Queensland children attending a government-approved kindergarten program from 1 January 2024. In 2025 a $55.50 fee is required to secure your child’s position at Borilla Kindergarten. This is made up of a $50.00 enrolment fee and a $5.50 membership fee. These fees will be forfeited if your child does not attend Borilla. Please note the $50.00 enrolment fee is not applicable to families of children with Health Care Cards or families who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Free Kindy Groups 2025
Kindergarten is delivered in different ways at different services.
The following kindy groups are being offered at Borilla in 2025.

Kindy Klub 2025
Kindy Klub formally before and after kindergarten care is a service run to extend the normal kindergarten hours and is complementary to the kindergarten program. It is licensed and governed by the same national laws, regulations and kindergarten philosophy and policies.
This service is to be used only for the days your child attends the kindergarten.
This will be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays from 7.00am to 5.30pm.

Payment of Kindy Klub fees
Kindy Klub fees will be issued at the beginning of each term for Yellow Group and fortnightly for all other groups. Kindy Klub Fees must be paid in full each fortnight to ensure continuing enrolment. Failure to make fee payments in accordance with the due dates could result in loss of your child’s place in the centre.
Giving Notice
Parents are required to give ‘four weeks’ notice in writing to the director or administration if it is their intention to leave the centre.
