The rights of the child are paramount. At Borilla Community Kindergarten we embrace the Early Years Learning Framework. We recognise that early childhood is a critical learning phase and forms the foundation for the future.
We acknowledge that childhood is a time for children to be, to seek and make meaning of their world.
When our teachers put their trust in children and truly respect them knowledgeable meaning makers then opportunities and possibilities arise that previously may not have been considered. In a curriculum that is embedded in possibility and therefore unpredictability, it is expected that educators adopt a reflective approach to planning whereby planning formats are open-ended, retrospective and shared; and planning decisions tentative, flexible and open to possibilities that happen.
